* THE WMAQ-CHANNEL 5 station will host a celebration for former anchor Art Norman, who retired April 30 after 30-plus years of service.
The station will give the popular broadcaster a well-deserved party free and open to the public June 18 at the DuSable Museum, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
* RETIRED CHANNEL 5 anchor Warner Saunders will be honored with a proclamation by Mayor Daley at the City Council meeting June 3. And the next day, he will get a brand new hip replacement. Hip, Hip, Hooray!
* THE CHINESE American Service League's 20th annual corporate dinner benefit is today at the Hilton Chicago. Guest speakers include Mayor Daley, Channel 7's Linda Yu, Channel 5's Nesita Kwan, WFLD-Channel 32's Nancy Loo and CLTV's Judy Wang.
* A STELLAR REMINDER: Channel 32 anchor Robin Robinson will emcee the "Celebrate Life with Abe Thompson" tribute and reception June 12 at the UIC Pavilion.
