Two familiar faces soon will be missing from CLTV's prime-time news lineup.
Leaving the Tribune Co.-owned cable news channel will be evening news anchor Amy Rutledge and meteorologist Keenan Smith.
Rutledge has resigned to move to Shanghai, China, with her husband, whose company has promoted him. Her last day at CLTV will be May 8.
The northwest suburban Schaumburg native and Southern Illinois University alum joined CLTV in 2005 from WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tenn.
News director Jill Manuel said Rutledge will be succeeded as anchor by Sean Lewis, who joined CLTV last year from WWBT-TV in Richmond, Va.
Smith has been hired as morning and midday forecaster at WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach, Fla., starting May 5. A search is on for his replacement here.
A native of Philadelphia and graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and Princeton University, Smith joined CLTV in 2000 as a reporter and news anchor from WEEK-TV in Peoria.
He added weekend weather duties in 2001 and shifted to weather full time in 2002. Since 2003, he has been assigned to the WGN Weather Center, which supplies forecasts to CLTV.
Rutledge also has appeared on Tribune-owned WGN-Channel 9.
