Howard Stern sidekick Robin Quivers broke her wrist this weekend whilst rollerblading solo in Central Park. She was not wearing a helmet or wrist protection (which she had forgotten). She declined many offers of assistance (she said on today's program) but finally accepted help getting up from someone who recognized her and insisted. She was finally transported by a bicycle-rickshaw type vehicle to an emergency room some twenty blocks away where she underwent an operation and stayed overnight. Recovery is expected to take 8 to 10 weeks. She takes a Percocet every four hours for pain. She was at work today and Howard inquired as to whether the injury was to her wiping hand. It is not.
In a sign that the late night booking war has begun in earnest, Howard will appear tonight on Letterman.
