Jerry Agar's insane work schedule, and double-duty Saturdays

Hey, he's going for the weekday spot, I assume, so more power to him. He's doing what he needs to do.

Here's what I don't understand though. If he works a morning on Saturday, then is off for a few hours for the other guy... he comes on again at 5p. But the Cubs pregame is at 5:30, I think... so, why on earth would they make him hang around all that time only to do a half hour show? Why not let the News Junkie guy work an extra half hour...

One of those things I never quite understood... any input insiders?
