I was surprised to hear Metheny pull Mr. Jarrett into the studio on Steve Cochran's show this afternoon and "introduce" him to the audience. I further found it interesting how they basically led all the listeners to believe John Williams was being fired, and then eventually at the end of the segment talked about how he was moving to the 9-noon spot. Also interesting was how they discussed Bob Sirott's "knowing" his 1 hour air shift "couldn't last".
