Mega 95.5 hires David Miranda, Diane Fong as hosts

David Miranda, a Chicagoan whose radio career began at age 14 with the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago's community station, has been named the new 7 p.m.-to-midnight host on Clear Channel's Mega 95.5, which was known as WNUA-FM 95.5 until it flipped to Spanish last month.

Diane Fong will be the station's new 10 a.m.-to-3 p.m. host, program director and afternoon drive host Omar Romero announced Tuesday.

Romero himself was only named to his slot last week and made his local debut Monday. The station has yet to name its morning drive host, and is still awaiting new call letters.

"I'm certain that David and Diane will bring energy and flair to Mega 95.5 and I???m glad to have them on-board," Romero said in the announcement. "I look forward to working with them on creating exceptional programming and bringing quality local Spanish radio to Chicago."

Miranda has worked for Hispanic Broadcasting, Big City Radio and Univision Radio in a variety of capacities, on and off the air. He also has worked in in television, working on a program for Telemundo and as an entertainment reporter on Telefutura.

Fong, who is originally from Mazatlan Sinaloa, Mexico, has worked in radio both in Mexico and in the United States. She most recent was at Clear Channel's Mega 94.9 in Miami, on the air in mornings on weekdays and midday on Sundays.
