Robert Smigel was just in town for the TBS Comedy Festival. He talked about and showed his never-aired TV pilot for a show that was a dead-on parody of Chicago's Bozo's Circus. I just finished watching it and haven't laughed that hard in a long time. The off-kilter versions of Bozo, Cookie, Wizzo & Ringmaster Ned are tremendous! There is even a quick parody of another of my favorite childhood TV shows, Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp. Fans of the old Bozo show from WGN-TV (and who have a sense of humor, plus are not easily offended), click on the YouTube links below!
