John Callaway Ceremony, Top Shelf

Garrard McClendon
on 06.29.09

I attended the memorial services for John Callaway: producer, writer, host, and downright good guy. An outpouring of love from a myriad of attendees made the occasion a celebration of the man's work. His love for and by his family was evident. The Rockefeller Chapel's stained glass and stone provided a perfect setting for a man who cared about media. With compelling music and ... some serious, yet funny stories told about John, the memorial service gave the three-dimensional aspect of the man, whether you knew him, or not.

John, I miss you - and I will be borrowing something from you: that pensive, piercing gaze, into the eyes of my interviewees.

Below, find the program for the memorial service of John Douglas Callaway, the interviewer's interviewer.
