What happened to The Chicago Chronicle?

The Chicago Chronicle newspaper is no more. The University of Chicago announced that it's ditching the 28 year old paper due to lack of readership. Over 25,000 were expected to read the publication, but less than 4,000 copies of the free University paper were being grabbed. Early speculation is that the paper will return as an internet-based publication in the Fall.
