Just back from a three-month vacation in Arizona, Chuck Schaden this weekend celebrates the 38th anniversary of "Those Were the Days," his vintage radio showcase.

Because it also marks the 1,956th broadcast in the series, Schaden will feature a lineup of shows from the year 1956.

Titles include Gene Autry's "Melody Ranch," "Fort Laramie," starring Raymond Burr, the 20th anniversary show of Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy, "Suspense," "X Minus One" and "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar."

In Schaden's absence, sidekick Ken Alexander had been filling in on the show. It airs from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays on the College of DuPage's WDCB-FM (90.9).
