: They should take pointers from their former music director Jacent Jackson who is now PD of WLUM Milwaukee (see interview posted further down on this board).

: They give Jacent and the staff at WLUM a lot of freedom as its a locally owned station.

: This has payed off bigtime for them. 102.1 was always at the bottom of the ratings like Q101 is. Nobody believed Alternative would work in Milwaukee.

: Now its working and working well. No consultants, no corperate stockholders, locally owned, PD given complete freedom to run the station, good ratings.

Are you that naive to believe that Jacent has complete control of WLUM? Guess again! Don't believe everything you read. Emmis needs to blow up Q and start over. New call letters, new brand, new format, new staff, new look. Marv’s comment…"In the alternative format, there aren't many personalities around the country that are good enough for Q101”. Is Tim Virgin the only jock out there good enough for Q101? The answer is NO, the other jocks that are good enough to be in Chicago aren’t willing to work for a station that has such a high turnover rate. I hope Tommy gets to keep his St. Louis gig when Emmis pulls the plug on the 1.9 share. Is it even that high these days?
