I don't think you are being fair with your assessment at all. The station is a little 250 watt AM out of the Wadsworth/Zion area. They know perfectly well that they will not be reaching Chicago with that. However, there are plenty of rockers up in Lake County & southern WI that will be able to hear it. The Rebel Radio format also airs on Evanston's WKTA-AM, which does reach Chicago, although I believe Rebel Radio is only on the weekends on that station right now. Lastly, Rebel Radio will soon be streaming on it's website RebelRadio.com in the very near future. The station is more of a hobby right now and streaming technology is not cheap, but it will eventually happen.
: I realize that Scott Davidson is trying to be a player in the Chicago radio scene ~ but first he needs to reach Chicago! His latest leap to AM 1500 with a 24-hour heavy metal format is a serious mistake. I understand he brokers the airtime ~ but how can a station make money programming metal to old ladies in Zion? You can't hear the station anywhere in Chicago? And, they don't even have an online stream? I smell disaster!
