I want to make money! : 5) What was the biggest gaffe you've made on air? : True story, my first time on air EVER a co-worker was supposed to walk me through a newscast. He split and said....just record it...push this button and record it. I had no clue how to work a reel to reel. I recorded a newscast, but kept messing up on : the word "methamphetamine," I said an expletive and finally finished a newscast. I tried to cue it up but cued it up to the take with the bad word, played it on the air and the News Director went ballistic! I assumed I'd be fired...I was still living out of a suitcase anyway (I'd only been in town three days and was staying with the News Director and his wife). So I packed my stuff into my car and he came home to tell me I wasn't fired. My coworker that bailed wasn't fired either, but I don't think he could sit down for a few days. : 6) Tell us what music we would find on your I-Pod right now and what is it you enjoy about that particular selection? : I like 80's rock, 90's Grunge. My favorite bands are Def Leppard, Collective Soul, Breaking Benjamin, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Linkin Park, etc. I only listen to one Country artist...Keith Urban. My favorite all time song is "Oh What a Night" : 7) Your thoughts on Syndication and Voice-Tracking? : One day all radio will be done by one guy in a cabin in Montana with a studio. : 8) What's your take on current music? Is it as good as six months ago, better, or about the same? Elaborate. : I'm not a big fan of the recent stuff. I'm too stuck in the 80's and 90's I guess? There are too many squeaky female artists and guys who all sound the same. : 9) What stations do you have on your car radio pre-set buttons? : WLUP and Q101 in Chicago. : 10) Who is your best friend in the business? : Christina Craven or Mike Baca at Deer Creek Broadcasting in Chico, CA. : Bonus Questions : 1) What do you do in your spare time? : I enjoy walking, hiking, camping, cooking, gardening, and reading. : 2) What is your favorite TV show? : Only watch one show.
