FCC Rejects Appeal Of Chicago-Area COL Change Denial

The FCC has rejected NEWSWEB's petition for reconsideration of the 2005 denial of a proposed dual community of license change for its WCPT-A (now WAIT-A)/CRYSTAL LAKE, IL and WNDZ-A/PORTAGE, IN.

NEWSWEB had applied to move WCPT to ADDISON, IL and WNDZ to CALUMET CITY, IL and co-locate the stations' studios, and the Commission decided that the benefits to such a move did not outweigh the loss of local service to the former communities of license.
