VALENTINE IN THE MORNING
Network Producer
Role: HOT AC Network Producer based in LA, reporting to Executive Producer of Valentine in the Morning.
Core Responsibility: Producing a daily (M-F) HOT AC morning show to Chicago WLIT & Cleveland WMVX including station & local day specific material for station programming & sales client content.
Overall duties to include:
• Build and distribute complete show and update accordingly with day current material recorded morning of for remote stations.
• Monitor local LA show and isolate all relevant material for repurpose into remote stations.
• Edit recorded material for use in a national show
• Prepare additional scripts for talent to complement audio, individualized for each market.
• Produce totally localized show for each remote station each day.
• Load audio for use in syndicated show, monitor remote station logs for correct arrival.
• Consult with affiliate station PD’s on placement/layout of syndicated show
• Quality check entire show daily
• Contribute to brainstorming of show content for all markets with topics, current events from a national and market specific level.
• Daily calls and communication with each market bringing local Chicago & Cleveland specific relevant topics and content, preparing for talent to record.
• Maintain log of syndicated show activities for future reference.
• Plan accordingly to provide complete show and client endorsements etc for broadcast during talent’s vacation
• Prepare show to use on emergency basis (i.e. talent illness) on a monthly basis.
• Provide local affiliate/national information/audio for use on syndicated show
• Coordinate talent endorsements for each remote market, bullet point for talent, record and deliver to trafficking teams
• Uphold relationships with affiliate station marketing, sales & programming teams.
• Manage/edit/supply local liners for affiliate use
• Edit/create imaging for use on syndicated show
• Edit/create show promo’s to run on affiliate stations
• Update Chicago & Cleveland show webpage & blogs etc several times daily.
• Review affiliate websites for errors/possible additions
• Manage online contesting through AM show websites
• Monitor affiliate audio feeds for segue problems/possible improvements.
• Coordinate with local webmasters to build web specific content and online traffic.
• Maintain station integrity, knowing limits for content and keeping within those.
• Monitor key competitors’ websites & streams.
• This role will be the Central point of contact for all day to day communication with Chicago & Cleveland.
