Another large forum will be held soon to discuss the future of newspapers. The forum, called "Do Newspapers Matter?" will be held at Loyola University Chicago on Tuesday, September 15th at 6:00pm. It will specifically take place at Loyola's Water Tower Campus in Kasbeer Hall, on the 15th floor of 25 E. Pearson St. in Chicago. WTTW's host of Chicago Tonight, Phil Ponce will act as the host of this event. The distinguished panel of journalists includes Don Hayner, editor-in-chief of the Chicago Sun-Times; Eric Zorn, columnist for the Chicago Tribune; Steve Rhodes, publisher and editor of the BeachwoodReporter.com website; and Geoff Dougherty, editor and CEO of the Chi-Town Daily News website. Topics will include all aspects of the newspaper industry's troubled present and possible future.
