Jim Moran / Question about Traffic Updates coming from Out of Townners?

The guy frequently is/was on WIND and maybe WLS in the past. I thought I just heard him on WIND a few weeks ago. Anyways, just heard him doing traffic for the morning show on KTRS-AM in St. Louis.

A while ago on a St. Louis media message board, I was reading that their local station's traffic reports were no longer coming from people in St. Louis but a syndicated type thing out of Arizona, I believe. Has anyone heard about that for possible Chicago or anywhere else in the country? With the sorry state of radio, nothing would surprise me.
