GN is really a.mess on the weekends. It goes back and forth between the WGN Chicagoans know and love- to a bizarre combo of WLS, WIND & WCPT.

Nancy Skinner is great on the radio. She's smooth, intelligent and keeps the show rolling along. Jerry Agar is great on the radio, too, and a pro's pro. They are polar opposites politically, but both are good. Regardless, neither of them belong on WGN's weekend airwaves. The same goes for Rendezvous, Wasson & Laski (who is not even all that good on the air, either).

WGN needs to stop trying to be other stations and just be itself, the station that the other stations have spent the last few decades being jealous of and the station that Chicagoans love. Listeners tune into WGN to be entertained, not angered. This new "angry" WGN is a mistake. Oddly enough, everybody in the Chicago market seems to know that fact except those in charge at WGN, who keep on trying new ways to anger their listeners, especially on weekends.

: Not sure she is officially hired or anything. WGN Radio has been having several different names rotate around the weekends at various times.

: Speaking of which, Jim Laski will be back on next Sat. from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. filling in for Nick D.
