Emmis Radio and Nobex Radio Companion Partner to Deliver Radio Stations to Your BlackBerry Smartphone

INDIANAPOLIS & SANTA CRUZ, Calif. --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Emmis Communications Corporation, and Nobex Technologies today announced that they have entered into a co-branding and distribution agreement of Nobex Radio Companion. Emmis is the 8th largest radio group in the U.S . - based on listeners. Nobex Radio Companion allows BlackBerry smartphone users to listen to Emmis Radio stations and more than 3,000 other stations from around the world. Starting immediately, customers can select a version of Nobex Radio Companion that comes pre-set with their favorite Emmis Radio station. For example, to download a version that automatically pre-sets and plays WQHT-FM HOT 97, Emmis' hip-hop leader in New York, customers can use the browser on their BlackBerry smartphone to go to www.nobexrc.com/wqhtfm, and download Nobex Radio Companion from there. Only one Nobex Radio Companion application needs to be installed on a BlackBerry smartphone and the user can add any additional Emmis station to the Nobex playlist.
Nobex Radio Companion also provides customers with a way to get songs or ringtones with a single click; to see the lyrics of songs, synchronized with the music; to see song and artist information; and to receive an email with links to buy the song from their PCs.
