Fish - I was experiencing broadcast hell when most of the posters here were barely gleams in Marconi's eye. The stuff that the new automated control rooms (mostly GV's Ignite) are inflicting on Chs. 7 & 5 especially, are truly getting worse with every passing day. Stacey did a decent job making the most of it. Another year or two and she'll move up and out of the market. A lot of expensive technology in the mix here - big investment - yet I wonder how much longer these guys are going to let it keep being this bad before they decide to solve it. I'm old school. I think that "oh well, we can't help it" eventually leads to, "Hmmm...where'd our audience go?"

: There's a term for what you experienced Bobby. It's called "Broadcast HELL!" and it's not just limited to TV. It happens on radio as well and the folks on 670 The SCORE have made a lot of fun of Jeff Joniak's bizarre description following Robbie Gould's game-winning field goal 2 weeks ago when the Bears beat the World Champion Steelers in the rain at Soldier Field. It happens to everybody in broadcasting, and it'll be hilarious as time goes by. Something else to consider. ABC7 and other local news outlets these days use robotic cameras in their studios and even robots aren't immune to breaking down. It happens!
