Names of Sun-Times investors emerge
List studded with both controversial and colorful Chicagoans

Chicago financier Jim Tyree released the identities of his 10 co-investors in Sun-Times Media Group Inc. today, a list studded with colorful Chicagoans as well as executives of Tyree's investment firm, Mesirow Financial Group.
In addition to Tyree, chairman and CEO of Mesirow, the list includes
-- Andrew Agostini, principal and owner, J.L. Woode Ltd.
-- Kevin Flynn, chairman and CEO, Emerald Ventures Inc.
-- Ed Heil, investor and entrepreneur
-- Michael Mackey, Senior Managing Director, Insurance Services, Mesirow Financial
-- William Parrillo and Robert Parrillo, private investors
-- Richard Price, president and COO, Mesirow Financial
-- Ed Ross, principal and owner, J.L. Woode Ltd.
-- W. Rockwell "Rocky" Wirtz, president, Wirtz Corp.
-- Bruce Young, vice chairman, Mesirow Financial
"Our goal is to build a high-quality, high-integrity business with the best local coverage of news, sports and entertainment," the release said. "We are confident that, going forward, we can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our employees and work together to build a world-class media business."
The Tyree group also officially designated its management team. Current chairman and interim CEO Jeremy Halbreich will retain the CEO title and be vice chairman of the board. Tyree will be chairman. Rick Surkamer will remain chief operating officer.
