Jerry is one smart dude and I'd want him in my corner for any fight. Still, some of his predictions prove out, some of them don't. For instance, he was pretty sure Citadel would be taken over by the bank by now. Didn't happen and probably won't. He doesn't have any insider info on more cuts. He's speculating about what he sees are logical consequences of current behaviors.
I was in a CC cluster (not Chicago) a few years ago for one of the first series of Merry Christmas layoffs. If these particular predictions of Jerry's come true, they won't be any more or less pretty (or ugly?) than anything else that's happened so far.
