: i'm still getting it as ch 13 on directv.
Direct TV must be receiving a direct link from the station, that is not taken off the air, of WCHU-LD 61-1.
I noticed that Direct TV normally places local TV stations on their former analog channel number, however this one is an exception.
I suspect the reason is that 'Azteca America' used to be carried on analog Channel 13 WOCK-CA. But there was a network affiliation switch last year.
Channel 55 (later became Channel 6) WLFM-LP and Channel 61 WCHU-LP had carried 'MTV Tr3ìs', but both changed to 'Azteca America' which was airing on Channel 13 WOCK-CA. Channel 13 then became an affiliate of 'CaribeVision' which it still is now. During the Summer, Channel 13 WOCK-CA shut off it's analog signal and began broadcasting in digital on Channel 4 as WOCK-CD, however the station maps to it's former analog channel (Channel 13). Display Channel 13-1 is 'CaribeVision' and display Channel 13-2 is a simulcast of sister station analog Channel 41 WOCH-CA which is mostly Korean-language.
As a convenience to local viewers, Direct TV must have decided to keep 'Azteca America' on it's old channel number.
