Letter alone: Anna Davlantes a tad rusty in WFLD debut

Take a few months off, and sometimes you get rusty.
Such was the case for Anna Davlantes in her debut Monday as a contributing anchor and reporter on Fox-owned WFLD-Ch. 32's marquee 9 p.m. newscast.
Twice Davlantes (pictured right) referred on air to the last name of the subject of her first Channel 32 report -- the victim of a taxi crash whose recovery has surprised her doctors -- as Wilburg. The crash victim's name is Joyce Kilburg. (A correct version is available above.)
A station spokeswoman said a clarification would run on Tuesday's 9 p.m. news.
Davlantes had been off the air since since late July, when she walked away from the offer of a new contract at NBC-owned WMAQ-Ch. 5, where she had spent the past nine years.
