don't know about wlit specifically, but this makes sense from my experience at other stations. the stream to the internet is likely pre-processing and pre-delay, so what you're hearing is coming right out of the studio versus the radio's audio having to hit the processors, compensate for any enabled delay, and be sent to the transmitter.
: I was trying to get WLIT in on my radio at home the other day but because of where I was I couldn't get it in. Anyways I grabbed my laptop to listen online and noticed of what I could get in on the radio, the online stream was faster. Now I would think the actual radio stream would be faster since it doesn't have to travel the internet, then through my computer out my speakers. I was just wondering if I was just imagining this happening or can an internet stream be a few seconds faster then good old radio?
: Thanks
