As of this afternoon, there is a brand new website up & running for the best dressed man in radio, Mr. Robert Murphy. For a while in the 80's, the King of Chicago radio was "Murph." He is best known for his successful decade at Q101 (WKQX has not seen that level of success since Murph left), although he also spent some time here at WLS-FM and the little-heard WXXY-FM. Not only did he become a huge celebrity here in Chicago, but he achieved plenty of national attention, as well. Billboard Magazine named him as the Major Market air personality of the year and Electronic Media Magazine named him one of America's top five DJs. This new website gives a wonderful look at Murphy's life and career, including his work in other markets.
