All Access did remove any references to SPIKE O'Dell and changed it to RICK O'Dell. However, they are still running the picture of Governor Quinn and saying it is Rick O'Dell.
: I'm sure they will correct this, but All Access kind of screwed up this announcement. They seem to do that a lot and I don't know why. It's not like they don't have enough people on staff these days. Pure lazyness.
: Along with the below post, they posted a picture of IL Governor Pat Quinn from WGN's goodbye broadcast for Spike O'Dell.

: WLFM Names Spike O'Dell PD/Middays
: December 7, 2009 at 5:59 PM (PT)
: VENTURE TECHNOLOGIES Smooth Jazz WLFM/CHICAGO has name local radio fixture SPIKE O'DELL as PD/middays. O'DELL is best known for his 20 years as the midday personality for crosstown Smooth Jazz WNUA (where he also served as PD) until the station flipped to Spanish Top 40.
: "Based on direction of the station and the WINDY CITY's enthusiastic response to 87.7FM, RICK was the natural choice to take the programming reins as we continue to build out the local Smooth Jazz brand in CHICAGO, WLFM SVP/GM PAT KELLEY said. "His 20-plus years in the format, along with his passion and deep understanding of contemporary jazz music, made him the right person.
: "RICK O'DELL had been a staple in middays for many years on WNUA," he continued. "I'm sure I share CHICAGO's excitement in welcoming him back on the air at 87.7FM." Rick is expected to begin his midday show after the first of the year.
: "Formats don't often get a second chance, so I must give credit to PAT KELLEY and VENTURE TECHNOLOGIES GROUP for their faith in the future of Smooth Jazz in CHICAGO," O'DELL said. "PAT and I worked together during the heyday of WNUA, and I'm thrilled to be part of his new team at WLFM. I also look forward to reconnecting with the most loyal and passionate listeners in CHICAGO when I'm back on the midday show."
