Vocalo.org Hosts a Create-Your-Own-Radio-Broadcast Training on December 11

What: Vocalo.org, 89.5 FM, WBEW, invites its listeners and the public to a training on December 11. Participants will
learn how they can share their thoughts and opinions on the Vocalo radio broadcast and online. Participants will learn
how to navigate the Vocalo.org website, upload and showcase their own media and record their own audio pieces using an
ordinary telephone.

The training will be held at the Digital Youth Network, 1050 E. 47th Street, Chicago. The training is free and open to
the public.

Why: ?The input and active participation of our listeners is integral to the sound and success of our broadcast,? says
interim general manager Adam Yoffe. ?Teaching our audience how to get their opinions and voices on the radio and online
is a crucial part of our organization?s mission to lift up voices typically underrepresented in media.?

Who: Vocalo.org host producer Sarah Lu will be the instructor.

When: The training will be held on Friday, December 11, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
