Saturday afternoon, NBC5 will be airing the Ford Ironman World Championship from 3:30pm-5:00pm. The actual competition took place on October 10th in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, but the televised program is airing for the first time Saturday. Among those competing will be one familiar face: NBC5 weekend sports anchor, Mike Adamle. This was Mike Adamle's second time doing this grueling triathlon, with the first time being 11 years ago. Even at age 60, Mike impressively finished the Ironman Championship in just over 14 hours.
