Memorial Day will be a day for reliving Chicago radio memories.
While Larry Lujack and his cohorts will be commandeering Citadel Broadcasting news/talk WLS-AM (890) for "The Big 89 Rewind," as previously noted here, another local station will turn back the clock too.
Midway Broadcasting WVON-AM (1690) also will suspend its news/talk format Monday to bring back "The Good Guys" and celebrate its musical roots in R&B, blues and jazz.
Lucky Cordell, former general manager of WVON, will be on from 6 to 10 a.m., followed by Richard Pegue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cliff Kelley with jazz from 3 to 7 p.m. and Pervis "The Blues Man" Spann from 7 to 10 p.m.
