ABC7 has been presenting these debates for about 20 years now. January's debates will be a little different from times past, though. This winter, the debates will air commercial-free on ABC7's digital 7.2 channel and being streamed live on abc7chicago.com. "Vote 2010: The Candidates Debate" will feature ABC7 News anchors & reporters Ron Magers, Cheryl Burton, Kathy Brock, Alan Krashesky & Charles Thomas will serve as moderators and panel members, as will former ABC7 reporter and current director of the Better Government Association, Andy Shaw. The debates will also air on the regular WLS-TV broadcast, but they will not air live. The first debate will be on Thursday, January 7th for the Cook County Board President Democratic Candidates Debate, which will be on WLS-TV's 7.2 & abc7chicago.com at 7:00pm.
