It is debatable to say Silly Jilly went to a major market from KISS. Granted it is a Top 10 market station, but the pay scale is a lot less too.
Also Top 40 is emerging as a female friendly format these days (competing with the ever blurry line between them and Hot AC) so men are being displaced. Go back 20 years and even in mid-days you found men jocks on CHR's, sometimes the WHOLE staff was male!
: where males are becoming the minority in radio jobs. look at the java joel show. j dogg has been banished to some small town in texas and is spending his days drilling for oil. java joel is stuck in....cleveland. yack. meanwhile silly jilly was hired to do nights at kiss chicago and then transferred to another major market station in the south. too bad guys cant sleep to the top.
