WRTO asks for reduced power STA after site move

UNIVISION Spanish Talk WRTO-A/CHICAGO has applied for Special Temporary Authority to operate at its new site but at 50% of its authorized power, temporarily running 10 kw days and 2.25 kw nights.

The station is building its new 20 kw days/4.5 kw nights facility at the site, but tells the FCC that it lost its licensed site "because it must be demolished due to the fact the lease term is up and nonrenewable." The filing notes that the station has "completed construction to the point that the facility will operate within theoretical parameters, but has not finalized the measurement process for program test authority."
