In the late 80s and early 90s, the Chicago Rocker Newsletter was a free local publication that was found monthly at bars all across Chicagoland. It featured information, interviews and articles on local rock bands. As the hairband music of that time period faded away, so did the newsprint magazine. It resurfaced as a website around 2003, but that lasted only a matter of weeks. Chicago Rocker Newsletter is now back, only this time, it can be found as a section inside the Illinois Entertainer. The January IE has the first CRN section, which supposedly will be a new, permanent feature inside each month's issue of IE. The rock of the 80s may not be back, but the Rocker is.
