TOMANO & TOUHY RETURN TO SOUTHLAND AIRWAVES

Beginning Monday, July 7th, popular radio comics Mike Tomano and Steve Touhy will return to the Will County frequency where they began their partnership over twelve years ago. MY 105.5, The Southland's Hit Music Station, will air The Tomano & Touhy Radio Show, weekday mornings from 6 to 9 a.m. The duo will be simulcast on Kankakee's heritage News / Talk station, Talk AM 1320, WKAN, where they reunited last October after a five year hiatus. The show will also stream audio at www.wkan.com. Mike and Steve enjoyed success at WYKT during their initial run in the late '90s and again from 2001 to 2003. Together, Tomano & Touhy have won five Silver Dome Awards for Broadcast Excellence from the Illinois Broadcasters Association and have been nominated for this year's award for Best Broadcast Team. (The award ceremony will take place on June 17th in Springfield.)

Tomano says, "This is a true homecoming for Steve and I. We are really looking forward to connecting with our listeners from the old days and reaching many new audience members, as well. MY 105.5 is a very exciting station and we're proud to be a part of it." Adds Touhy, "Hopefully the Southland audience has missed us as much as we’ve missed them."

The show, a mixture of comedy and commentary, will also feature celebrity interviews, phone calls and local news.
