Why Comcast is XFINITY and not INFINITY

If you read the blog from the Comcast executive, you saw him reference this "project" as "Project Infinity" and not "Project XFinity", yet the branding is going to be XFinity. I think I know why. CBS Radio was of course previously known as Infinity Broadcasting. Perhaps CBS/Infinity told Comcast they can't use the name Infinity especially since Comcast is going to be associated with NBC now. Either way, the name XFinity is stupid and I wonder how long this mishap will stay around.
