NBC 5 runs local news from 6-7am.

CBS 2 doesn't do any, but then again they don't really during the week either.

ABC 7 runs local news from 6-7am.

WGN and Fox haven't had weekend morning news for a long time (if ever).

What time do you want them to run local news at on Saturday? 9am? 10am? Kids show get decent ratings, plus it allows TV stations to get their fill of "children's programming" when it really doesn't affect many people. Plus what news has really happened overnight Friday that they would feel the need to bring you at 9am on Saturday.

If you want local news on the weekends, skip Saturday all together (sleep in or go out and have some fun), then wake up Sunday and catch local news on CBS 2 and ABC 7 from 8am-9:30am, or even Fox from 8:30am to 9am.
