: i feel you on the analyzation and think you're spot-on. but this specific change could be a little different and unrelated. it wasn't widely published, but rick gillette got pretty sick about a year ago and had to take some time off for recovery. his family was on the west coast throughout. i don't know for sure but he could possibly have experienced remission and wants to tackle this time with his family by his side.
Amen. And if he isn't leaving on his own because of the health/family concerns, there's no way they're getting rid of him because of performance or personality reasons. He is a good guy who did some good things for 1035 during his time.
