WCPT's Rachel Maddow gets MSNBC show

AIR AMERICA RADIO host RACHEL MADDOW will get her own nightly TV show on MSNBC starting SEPTEMBER 8th. MADDOW, a frequent guest and contributor on the cable news network, will take over the 9p ET slot presently occupied by DAN ABRAMS, who will remain with MSNBC as a daytime anchor and with NBC NEWS as Chief Legal Correspondent.

MADDOW told the NEW YORK TIMES' BILL CARTER, "This is great; getting a regular cable show is something I’ve wanted."
