FCC OKs WONX Power Increase

The FCC has granted KOVAS COMMUNICATIONS' application to increase the power of its Ethnic WONX-A/EVANSTON, IL to double its daytime power to 7,000 watts, subject to the surrender of its license for second-adjacent-channel WMCW-A/HARVARD, IL, which went silent in MAY. The new signal for WONX gives it more CHICAGO market coverage; TIM DISA's AIR-TIME MEDIA will handle sales for the station with the upgrade.
