Clear Channel New York market manager Rob Williams stepped down this morning

: And it was a surprise to the staff. No replacement named for the longtime Clear Channel executive who'd taken over the New York cluster in early 2006, after Andy Rosen left. The people at Clear Channel's downtown-Manhattan offices got the word this morning - that Rob has decided to step down, with no further explanation given. For now, Executive VP Tom Schurr will supervise the New York City cluster that includes "Lite" WLTW (106.7) and "Power 105.1" WWPR-FM.
