WLUP, WKQX reorganized; jobs cut
Emmis Chicago boss Marv Nyren told staff Thursday the company is reorganizing operations at WLUP-FM 97.9 and WKQX-FM 101.1, eliminating several jobs.
Gone immediately are Loop program director Bill Klaproth, marketing director Tommy King and creative services director Kevyn Howard, as well as Emmis Chicago sales assistant Carly Keenan and interactive content manager Jesse Goodman.
Eddie Webb takes over as WLUP program director, in addition to his 3-to-7 p.m. show. WLUP promotions manager Justin "Jimi" Hendrix acquires the title of promotions director, while WKQX-FM promotions manager Jeannine Moose gets the promotions director title at that station.
Mark "Ned Spindle" Tammany, who has been imaging director of WKQX, adds WLUP to his responsibilities.
