Man This Sucks Monday
So I guess another chapter in my long and sordid life comes to an end as I was "let go" by WRXQ this morning as well as WIIL. That means no more musical musings for you to digest on a daily basis or updates on what's going on in my world. I'll check in every now and again so if you got a job for ol' uncle Freak send me a note. . . . .
Otherwise, it's been a great few years here and I assume the future will be just as much fun . . . . . Hope you can all be a part of it somehow.

Two-Fisted Tuesday
. . . . with a spare close by. The sun is setting on an awesome afternoon... at least I got fired on a weeks worth of beautiful weather. I only left the farm today to run a few errands and vote earlier this afternoon but the other good thing about living in the sticks is there was no line at the polling place so I was in & out in no time.
So, I bet you wanna know why I got fired. . . well, to put it simply, I was fired for just being me. I drink beer, ride a motorcycle, and listen to rock & roll. . . . Always have, always will. I hosted an event last weekend that some people in the upper offices thought got a littlte to weird and that's it. If you've ever hung with me you know what I am and it's all about having a good time. We had fun, nobody got hurt, nobody went to jail and everybody made it home safely so they could do it all again. . . . but some people in slightly higher places thought otherwise and it led to my dismissal. That's it.
It's their radio station and it's completely within their right to do whatever they want so if they feel I'm a bit to rowdy or politically incorrect then they have every right to can my ass and replace me with whomever they want. Am I mad, nah. . . . I could b###h & moan but why bother. I'm spending these beautiful afternoons working on my farm getting it ready for winter and I'll start plotting my next step at the end of the week or so.
I did want to thank everyone for their kind words tho. When I was working, I spent my mornings dealing with all the managerial stuff which I hated more than anything but then at 2 o'clock I would go into my studio, close the door, and rip music and talk to you guys and it made everything all good. Sounds like some kind of Hallmark bullshit I know but it's the truth. Every call, every e-mail was something new and if playing Bad Motor Scooter made some poor bastards day just a little bit better then it was a pleasure to do so. I really mean it and reading all the kick assed messages yesterday and today reminded me that it really was all worth while.
To answer a few questions posted here, I will continue to host Metal Nights every Monday night at Capone's, 191st & LaGrange Rd in Mokena behind the White Castle, from 9pm-1am. $1 beers and metal music as we watch Monday Night Football or whatever else is on the tube. There's never a cover so stop by and say hello. I will still be calling the Tournament of Destruction team demolition derby action out at Rt. 66 as well. I spoke to them just this afternoon and unless something dramatic happens completely unrelated to this, I'll be up in the box again this spring.
So that's it in a nutshell. I'm unemployed but far from down & out. Feel free to drop me comments and messages as I'll still be bouncing in and out on a regular basis. My farm has piss-poor service so responding to each message takes a damn hour but I'll do so when I can't sleep so you'll hear from me sooner or later.
