Andrew Finlayson, the news director of Fox O&O WFLD Chicago, today was named director of online content and business development for the Fox Television Stations, based in New York. Effective immediately, Finlayson will be responsible for improving and expanding online content sharing across the group, reporting directly to Ron Stitt, the company's vice president of digital media.

Succeeding him in Chicago is Carol Fowler, who was named vice president and news director at WFLD. Starting Monday, Feb. 2, Fowler will oversee all editorial, business and administrative functions, reporting directly to Patrick Mullen, the station's vice president and general manager.

Prior to his post in Chicago, Finlayson spent three years as news director of WSMV Nashville. Previously, he spent four years as news director of KTVU Oakland, Calif., where he had earlier served as the associate news director and a special projects producer, as well as a business reporter.

Fowler has been vice president and news director of WBBM Chicago for six years. Prior to this, she spent two years as news director at WGN Chicago.
