That's odd because - unless it was before sunrise - it's WISN from Milwaukee that comes in loud and clear in those areas during the day. I know because sometimes I'd listen on my way to work once I tired of "Archie and Edith" on WLS, "John and Cisco" on WIND and the others. Plus the commercial load is lighter on the Milwaukee station.
You can usually get WISN during the day as far south as the prairies southwest of Joliet on 55.
But, even getting WBBR at night around here is a good catch because there are normally a couple of stations fighting for that frequency.
