Deano Day, US99 morning man in the mid-80s, dies

According to AllAccess, the man known as "Uncle Deano" died at age 70 on Friday in Detroit, due to complications from heart surgery.

In addition to his time at WUSN, Deano worked at WCXI and WDEE in Detroit, WPON in Pontiac MI, KLAC in L.A., and WIL in St. Louis.
