I'm not sure about mornings, but I can tell you this. I don't listen to WGN that much. It's kind of "old" for me. But flipping through the channels a couple of weeks ago I heard Dan D. and Stan Lawrence on a Saturday morning. Didn't change the channel for the rest of my drive.
I heard them again this Saturday. I have never laughed so hard at the radio, especially WGN.
I don't know if the Saturday show for them is a regular thing (I didn't hear them last week, so I'm guessing not) for them, but it should be.
WGN should put them on a regular show.
: A lot of people have previously stated that they don't care for John Williams in the morning. While, it seems logical that there will not be any changes to that anytime soon, speculation is still a fun game to play.
: I think it is safe to assume that Garry Meier will never be the morning host (nor should he), so there is no need to bother with that.
: That said, which route should WGN realistically go with, if you were to have influence? Would you insist on Steve Cochran getting that spot, maybe give a trial run to a current WGN weekend or fill-in host, or is there anyone in particular who does talk radio in another market that you think would be good for the spot?
: I'll hang up and listen for any responses.
