Those weather segments are produced by The Weather Channel down in Atlanta and are clearly taped much earlier in the day. More than once, the forecast has included "today" and "sunshine" when neither word is appropriate in the context of the current day when it's 10 pm!

Clearly, no one is at the switch anymore.
