The continued eroding of the WLS news department

I noticed the last several Sunday evenings, (perhaps on Saturdays also,I wasn't listening)
WLS no longer includes any local news update
with it's twice an hour national news break.
They play a pre-recorded weather forecast
(who knows if the weather has changed since
the recording) but no local news update,
not even a pre-recorded one from the news service that they used to employ. The city could
be under siege but WLS 'NEWS/TALK' would
be the last place one would find out about
it.
