The only 2 things you HAVE to forward are required Monthly tests and Tornado Warnings. Those give you a timer and will take over the station if you don't run them in the allotted time.

so, if you are listening to an automated station, it is a horrible way to get current information about Tornado warnings because you'll get the information 15 minutes after the warning is issued.

: We all know the Emergency Alert System that they test about 7 times a day on each station. When exactly do they use it? It seems to me that today's tornado warnings should have merited some kind of use of this, instead of a little "weather in the area" mention between two traffic reports and a commercial. Anyone know what the policy is?
